The year 2025 marks the 100th anniversary of the unveiling of the monument to the Unknown Soldier in Lodz and the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in Warsaw, which was unveiled on November 2, 1925 in the central arcade of the colonnade of the Saxon Palace.
On that day, the remains of an unidentified soldier, brought in a special ceremony from the cemetery of the Defenders of Lviv, were placed in it. The creator of the tomb was the sculptor Stanislaw Kazimierz Ostrowski.
