The CC of the Solidarity Trade Union, unable to reach any agreement in talks with government representatives, has decided: to call a nationwide warning strike on March 27, 1981 from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. [...] .

The general strike did not take place; the government side, represented by M. Rakowski, promised to clarify the circumstances of the attack on trade unionists in Bydgoszcz, punish the perpetrators and register the Agricultural Solidarity (the so-called "Warsaw Agreement").
