Comprehensive geographical, geological and ethnographic study of the Apennine Peninsula, authored by Stanislaw Gorzuchowski (1889-1948), a professor of geography and an Ex-Clawed Soldier. He was active in the WiN organization in Lodz, collected and transmitted to WiN information constituting state and military secrets, prepared expert reports on economic issues. Sentenced by the WSR in Lodz on 15.01.1947 to 5 years imprisonment, 2 years loss of public and civil rights. Died in prison in Wronki on 28.03.1948.
