On the territory of the Kingdom of Poland, created in 1815 by the decision of the Congress of Vienna, a census of population and houses was conducted in 1824-1826. The results of the surveys conducted by this institution were generally not published.

An exception is the publication "Tabella of towns, villages and settlements of the Kingdom of Poland," published in 1827, containing the results of the 1824 - 1826 census. It gave for each town, even the smallest one, the number of people and the number of houses, while characterizing its geographical location, administrative and ecclesiastical affiliation.
