Swieykowski Emmanuel/ Outline of the artistic development of weaving and embroidery, explained with the monuments of the National Museum in Krakow/ Krakow 1906/ National Museum/ bookbinding, half leather from the epoch/ p.300[4]/ black and white tables outside the text/ minor rubbing of the binding, otherwise very good condition


An illustrated history of weaving and embroidery from antiquity to the late nineteenth century. One chapter is devoted to textile collections, fabric and its varieties, embroidery, wall and floor carpets and silk production in the 19th century.

Striking period binding, wide brown half leather, five-panel spine, gilt titling in one field, blind-stamped stylized ornament in the others, convex scrolls highlighted with gold ribbons
