Good condition. An unfinished work. Vol. 1-5 include A-Live entries, the following volumes did not appear. The work of a prominent Cracow Slavist. From the biography on the website of the Institute of Slavonic Philology of the Jagiellonian University: "Professor Franciszek Slawski became a legend of Cracow and Polish Slavic studies already during his lifetime - as his students and colleagues unanimously admit [...]. The Professor's scientific activity brought him fame and recognition from national and foreign scientific bodies [...]. His works (more than 200 in number), in addition to the reliable development of new topics, often brought revisions and reevaluations, putting in a new light the problems considered beyond doubt [...]. Particularly valuable in his oeuvre are the (unfinished) 'Etymological Dictionary of the Polish Language' (which, by the way, the Professor himself pointed to as his greatest achievement) and the 'Dictionary of Proto-Slavonic Studies' compiled and published under his direction."
