DECLARATION. From the beginning of its existence, the Polish Statehood League put forward a clearly formulated program for the reconstruction of the present Polish state after the war on the basis of the merger of Galicia with the Congress Kingdom. After the promulgation of the act of d. November 5, 1916. [...] the matter [...] receded into the background in view of the necessity to concentrate all efforts in erecting the foundations of its own statehood [...]. While emphasizing the unification of the Polish lands of the Russian partition with Galicia, we do not want to be accused of resignation and indifference to the remaining Polish lands and the Lithuanian-Byelorussian lands, in which the Polish element [...] managed to secure for itself a prominent position [...].
