"Not the last word of the accused" contains 35 articles, covering the state activity of Felicjan Slawoj Składkowski, from the first moments of the reborn Poland until the September catastrophe of 1939 and the events directly related to it The book shows the Author as an unparalleled polemicist, a great swordsman of words, who knew how to defend himself, but was also able to attack at the right moment, dealing severe blows to his opponents. This is an attempt to show the subjective truth of the conscience of a man to whom history assigned a thankless role at a moment of historical catastrophe. Składkowski armed with "purity of intention and honesty of execution" believed that history would have the last word, objective.
