Zimmermann Friedrich Albert (1745-1815),born in Lublin, Silesian geographer and distinguished civil servant, author of the extensive thirteen-volume work "Beiträge zur Beschreibung Schlesiens" (Polish: Contributions to the Description of Silesia).
The offered volume 12 presentsfrom a geographical and statistical angle, namely mountains, rivers, forests, monuments, animals, inhabitants, as well as villages, towns, inhabitants, their customs and many other data, among others :
City of Wroclaw, Namyslow District, Sieradz District, City of Uraz (Oborniki Slaskie Municipality).
It also contains a brief description / overview of the Duchy of Wroclaw and presents the history of the Dukes of Wroclaw.
Beiträge zur Beschreibung Schlesiens", published in 13 volumes in 1783-1785. This work was largely based on archival and official documents, so it is still an extremely valuable source of historical and topographical knowledge about Silesia at that time.
