"The Adventure of the Tiger", "In the Ruins", "The Invaders" - are fairy tales about animals, their joys and sorrows, funny and sometimes tragic adventures, resulting from their contacts with people and with the world. Animals feel, think and speak in human terms. They are full of solemnity, dignity and grace - touching.
In "Gifts of the North Wind," the son of a poor bailiff travels to the end of the world to avenge his injustice. The perpetrator of this injustice, the North Wind, rewards the boy, but he is unable to use his gifts wisely - he loses them all. Only a hard-working life, fighting robbers for the imprisoned princess allow him to regain the respect of the people, the love of the princess, wealth.
