HISTORY OF THE OLD AND NEW TESTAMENT
The faithful summary of the Holy Books, prepared by the Polish Secret Sub-Commander of the Holy Father - Rev. Jozef Klos in cooperation with prominent figures of the Church of Poland between the wars: bishops and professors, was combined with beautiful artistic reproductions "according to the originals of the best masters", illustrating and artfully explaining selected characters and episodes of the Old and New Testaments.
"Scripture in Pictures" with 236 great illustrations according to the originals of the best masters was published with the approval of the High Clerical Authority expressed in the Imprimatur signed by the Vicar General of the Archdiocese of Poznan, Fr. Meyssner and in the interwar period and later had a wide and beneficial influence on the formation of Polish Catholicism.
