Lvov 1875-1877, published by the Polish Bookstore. 14.5x22.5 cm, pp. 526, 650, (2), 625, (2), 652, (2), 621, 658, (2), 515, (3) [7 volumes], half leather binding of period. Good condition (minor staining of two pages in Volume I, isolated soiling and edgewear, binding scuffs).

Devoted to modern times part of the monumental work Universal History by Friedrich Christoph Schlosser (1776-1861). The whole work consisted of twenty-two volumes, of which volumes XI-XXII dealt with modern history. The proposed set includes volumes XI-XVIII - without volume XII - i.e. describing history up to the end of the 18th century.

Arranged by G. L. Kriegk, reviewed by O. Jaeger and T. Creizenach. Translated from the latest edition by Jozef Tretiak and Bronislaw Komorowski.
