Good condition (on the spine of volume II, the bookbinder misstamped the title: it is Modern History - should be Medieval History; minor rubbing of the bindings, discoloration on the back of the bindings of volumes I and IV).

Dedicated to the Middle Ages, part of the monumental work Universal History by Friedrich Christoph Schlosser (1776-1861). The whole comprised twenty-two volumes, six of which (volumes V-X), presented here, dealt with the Middle Ages. It was arranged by G. L. Kriegk, reviewed by O. Jaeger and T. Creizenach. Translated from the latest edition by Vladimir Gorski.
