Saks (1887-1942) - Polish mathematician of Jewish origin, associate professor at the Univ. of Warsaw, lecturer at the Univ. of Jan Kazimierz in Lvov, murdered in a Warsaw prison as part of the extermination action. Counted among the Lviv school of mathematics, he took an active part in the famous meetings of scholars at the Scottish Café.
