MROŻEK Slawomir - Practical half-panels. Kraków 1953, Wyd. Literackie. 8, pp. 147, [1]. broch.
Abrasions and losses of the spine, scuffs of the covers, lack of a preface page. On the title page an intriguing handwritten dedication by the author of the contents: "I dare to ask your forgiveness that I offer her the expression of my deep respect and esteem". On the inside of the front cover the text of the recipient, further obscuring the situation: "On a sheet of paper that was torn, ripped and destroyed by me, the dedication read: 'To my beloved Krystyna in memory of the intoxicating moments for two in Zw. Liter. Koło Młodych, Kraków, Krupnicza Street'. Mrozek was called an 'idiot' (I have a husband and children!). Oh me unfortunate! Give the Master from beyond the grave". First edition of the second volume of Mrożek's short stories. The cover was designed by Barbara Gawdzik-Brzozowska, the editor of the book was Leszek Herdegen.
