Karol Rzepecki (1865-1931) - librarian, bookseller, publisher and social activist. He was born in Poznan and throughout his life was involved in patriotic activities in Greater Poland. He was co-founder of the Raczynski Library, of which he was director for many years. He also ran a bookstore and publishing house, popularizing patriotic and scientific literature. He actively participated in the cultural life of Poznan and was a member of many scientific and social societies. He was meritorious in documenting the history of the region and in popularizing the Polish printed word in the times of partition.
