Lucyan Rydel - Polish poet and prose writer of the Young Poland period. In addition to his own work, he became famous for his high-profile wedding to peasant girl Jadwiga Mikołajczykówna. This event became the theme of The Wedding, the famous drama written by Stanislaw Wyspianski.
The presented biography of Queen Jadwiga was dedicated by the author and publisher to Jadwiga née Hr. Dzialynska Jenerałowa Zamoyska - a Polish aristocrat and social activist.
