Good condition, unsoiled covers, copy uncut. Novel published in 1937, reissued in 1958 in the offered edition. The book's reissue was blocked by communist censorship after World War II. Depicts the fate of a Polish infantry unit, part of General Zeligowski's division on the northern front, during the offensive of Tukhachevsky's army in the summer of 1920, during the Polish-Bolshevik war.
