Dogs, ducks, cats and visitors from the big city. Learn about the extraordinary adventures of canine companions and their farm friends in the charming children's book "Puck, Amber and Guests".
The title characters are dogs living on a farm in a small town. Puc is older and more courageous, and is also disciplined. Amber, on the other hand, is an energetic puppy who does not give in to his owner's training. The older dog tries to be an example for his younger companion, but the latter, although he respects him, is very reluctant to follow his instructions.
The peaceful life of friends from the yard, including the ducks Melania and Kacperek and the cat Imka, is disturbed by the arrival of Miss Agatha and her dogs Mikad and Tiuzdej. The new acquaintances are accustomed to a comfortable life at home, so their first encounter with the backyard community is a real shock to them. The book depicts the ups and downs of friendship, finding oneself in a new situation and discovering one's own life path.
"Puck, Amber and Guests" is an unusual story aimed at young readers, which has not lost its popularity and universal message for almost 100 years. The work, with the character of its owner Catherine, is linked to another short story by Grabowski, "Reksio and Pucek," which tells of Puck's adventures when he himself was still a puppy and his companion was a brave dachshund - Reks.
