Prince Mikolaj Krzysztof Radziwill (1549-1616) - called Orphan, coat of arms of Trąby (son of M. Radziwill called Black), raised from childhood as a Protestant, in 1566 during his stay in Rome he converted to Catholicism and became an ardent follower. In 1582-1584 he made a pilgrimage to the Holy Land. He described it in his diary of the journey, written around 1590, published in Poland in Latin translation (1599) and in Polish (Peregrination to the Holy Land..., 1607). Founder of many churches, monasteries and Jesuit colleges on his estates.
