Contemporary binding stylized on the old one. Spine in natural leather, five-panel with embossing and titling, covers in black linen. Block re-stitched, first two and last page reproduced in high quality on handmade paper made to order in the Museum of Papermaking. The rest of the cannon original eighteenth century with slight soiling and traces of wetting. Handmade paper of high quality, card edges naturally uncut.
All in Polish with numerous woodcuts - decorative vignettes and finalics in the text.

" Jan Kanty - Jan of Kety - born June 23 or 24, 1390 in Kety, died December 24, 1473 in Cracow - presbyter, Polish saint of the Catholic Church.
He was canonized on July 16, 1767 by Clement XIII.
His liturgical memory (obligatory in Poland) is celebrated on October 20.
He was proclaimed patron saint of Poland and Lithuania by Clement XII in 1737 , and was also made patron of the Krakow Academy.
