A reprint of a 1937 book, with a contemporary afterword by Andrzej Potocki.
This thing is about the Polish-Ruthenian nobility, the one that was not very wealthy, but rich in spirit and patriotism. And although its representatives did not make it into the pages of history textbooks, their chivalry was undeniable.
Since the time of the Jagiellons, they elected Polish monarchs and up to Pilsudski's Legions stood with arms against the enemies of the Republic. Few of them stood up for a free Ukraine. The chivalry of Podkarpacie was the salt of the land.
