Antoni Prochaska (1852-1930) was a historian and archivist, born in Zaleszczyki Maly. He studied in Buczacz, then at a secondary school in Lviv, and later studied in Vienna. He specialized in research on medieval Polish history, especially the Jagiellonian period. He worked at the Archives of Municipal and Land Records in Lviv, and also conducted research in Moscow and St. Petersburg. He published numerous works, including editions of sources and historical syntheses. He was a member of many scientific societies. He received an honorary doctorate from Lviv University. In 1930 he died in Lviv and was buried in Lychakiv Cemetery. [PSB]
