Portfolio contains 75 photographic reproductions of drawings of interior designs and architectural details created by Alexandre Eugene Prignot. They show designs for living rooms, especially fireplace walls, bedrooms, window and mirror frames, wall and ceiling decorations.
Alexandre Eugene Prignot (France, born 1822), designer of furniture, architectural details and ornaments, author of "L'Architecture la Decoration et L'Ameublement" published in Paris in 1878. He designed living room and fireplace interiors, dining room doors, ceilings, mirrors and consoles, etc. in the styles of Louis XIII, Louis XV, Louis XVI and the Neo-Renaissance, reflecting the taste of the time. Between 1851 and 1879, he published several reviews of designed ornaments. He made preparatory drawings in pen and ink, which were later photographed for reproduction. For his furniture, he received a Gold Medal at the 1867 World Exhibition in Paris and the Medaille de progress - Medal of Progress in Vienna in 1873.
