Bookbinder's imprint on back cover: "Hübel & Denck Buchbinderei Leipzig". Bookbinders stamp on title page. 8 heliogravures according to drawings by Piotr Stachiewicz; numerous color and black & white illustrations within pagination. The presented item was published on fine paper, with great attention to graphic design. Vol. 1 was devoted to India, see item above.
Jozef Mikolaj Potocki (1862-1922) - Polish landowner, traveler, book collector, deputy to the Russian State Duma, chamberlain of Austria. Son of Alfred, Ordynat of Łańcut and Maria of Sanguszko. He took care of the Slavutsk Sanguszko book collection, which he greatly expanded. He initiated the creation of the Potocki family archive and the publication of a monograph of the Potocki estate. He was the first European to reach Senaar on the Blue Nile. He published several travel and hunting books, including the two-volume "Hunting Notes from the Far East."
