Lot description Show orginal version

Lvov-Warsaw 1934. publishing house "Organization of Political Thought". 12x18 cm, pp. 47, soft cover. Very good condition (foreign dedication on pre-title page, minimal soiling of cover).

"In today's era, there are two reasons why we again turn our eyes to the past in order to extract from it a particle of truth for the future. The first reason is the contemporary cultural breakthrough, especially the political one, directing Europe on new tracks, different from those traced by the French Revolution of 1789, imposing them on the whole world. The second reason, closer and more important, is the changed situation of Poland, forcing younger generations to use the teachings of history differently than they did in captivity. The older generations, whose activities gained their fullness at the borderline of the 19th-20th centuries, do not feel as strongly as the wartime and post-war generations the need to revise their attitude to the Republic of the Nobility and to draw from it indications for the way forward."
