Józef Tymowski (b. April 19, 1791, d. March 18, 1871) - state counsellor, chamberlain to the royal court of Nicholas I Romanov in 1830, official of the administration of the Kingdom of Poland, supporter of the settlement with Russia; from 1815 a chamberlain, from 1819 a chamberlain of the Russian imperial court and from 1820 chief director of the chancellery at the Secretariat of State of the Kingdom of Poland, from 1824 chief secretary of the General Assembly of the Council of State, secretary of the Provisional Government of the Kingdom of Poland (1831-1832), from 1833 secretary of state, from 1855 member of the Administrative Council and from 1856 member of the Russian Council of State; member of the Council of State of the Congress Kingdom, from 1842-1855 also president of the Bank of Poland. President of the Heroldia of the Kingdom of Poland since March 1857, secret counselor, senator.
Awarded the Order of the White Eagle, Order of Saint Vladimir 2nd class, Order of Saint Anne 1st class with crown, badge of XXV years of impeccable service[.
Awarded the Order of Saint Stanislaus 1st class in 1829 and 2nd class in 1820.
