Adrian von Mynsicht (c. 1588-1638) - German alchemist, chemist and physician. In 1618 he became personal physician to Duke Adolf Friedrich I of Mecklenburg-Schwerin, and in 1631 to Duke Julius Ernst of Brunswick and Lüneburg. He also ran a free medical office and his own pharmacy. In Thesaurus et armamentarium medico-chymicum he shares his methods for preparing medicines "against all diseases. " The work is a peculiar blend of knowledge of chemistry, alchemy and pharmacy, typical of its time.

Binding: parchment/ with metal clasps, but no possibility of fastening/ stained page edges
Condition: consistent, rusty discoloration [foxing - no harm to text], small dry traces of former flooding in places [discoloration of paper, no harm to text], extraneous entries on facing pages [pencil, pen], no signatures or underlining in text, cover with discoloration/soiling.
