Title also in French. Introduction by Ludwik Krzywicki. The offered publication is the fruit of a 1933 contest under the theme "Diary of a Peasant." The rural population participated in the contest in large numbers. The memoirs come from the provinces of Warsaw, Lodz, Kielce, Lublin, Bialystok, Vilna, Poznan, Krakow, Lviv and Ternopil.
