Paszkiewicz ran as a candidate from the list of the Democratic Party Bloc, representing the pro-communist People's Party. In his pamphlet he sharply attacks Polish émigré circles, "intransigent from the London cobblestones." About the Gibraltar tragedy, he writes: "This affair is shrouded in a fog of mystery. I do know, however, that even if it was indeed an accident, this coincidence only exonerated the criminals who had long kept their fingers on the pistol's cock. Indeed, Anders did not hide at all that he was preparing an assassination attempt on Sikorski during his visit to the Second Corps." About the armed opposition: "leaders of forest bands, conscious supporters of Anders and often conscious agents of foreign intelligence - murderers, looters and arsonists." About the Mikolajczyk PSL: "many prominent activists of the PSL, are at the same time participants and sometimes leaders of terrorist underground activities." As a result of the elections, Gen. Paszkiewicz won a parliamentary seat.
