The author has collected in this book youthful works, written between 1919 and 1928. They begin with a sketch on Rousseau, written while he was still in his school years, and end with a light whimper of writing fantasy entitled. "Nausicaa", which was suggested to the author by his reading of "The Odyssey". In addition, the volume includes small sketches on the margins of the author's interest in antiquity, reflections on the reading of Plato, a larger sketch on Wilde, reminiscences about Frans and much more.
