General Geographical Atlas with 86 maps and explanatory text
The 1st edition of the highly popular and repeatedly reissued atlas. One of the secrets of its popularity was the map reproduction technique used. By using chromolithography instead of engraving on a copper plate, the publisher was able to offer detailed maps at a much lower price than the competition.

*PiotrPaliński (1853 -1950) - teacher, editor, journalist, writer, columnist, sightseer, national activist, regionalist. From the beginning of his teaching career he wrote for various periodicals. In his publications he encouraged reading and writing in Polish. He was active in various Christian and Polish organizations, and carried out his activities during the harshest Kulturkampf campaign. He spent 8 months in prisons and was repeatedly dismissed from his position at the time and deprived of the opportunity to take up another job, finally in 1911 he was banned from settling in the German Empire, as a result of which he did not return to Poland until after the end of the First World War.
