The presented Guide to Poznań by Nikodem Pajzderski, an expert and lover of Poznań, was written in connection with the 1929 General National Exposition in Poznań - a great exhibition event organized to commemorate the tenth anniversary of regaining independence.
Nikodem Pajzderski (1882-1940) - Polish art historian, medievalist. One of the most distinguished researchers of the art of Greater Poland. In 1919 he became Provincial Conservator of Monuments in Poznan. He was one of the founding members of the Society of Lovers of the City of Poznan. In 1933 he became director of the Wielkopolska Museum in Poznań. In October 1939 he was arrested by the Germans, then murdered in Fort VII.
