The volume, published without the author's knowledge, also contains anonymous works attributed to Padura. From p. 69 follows "Translations of the poems of A. Mićkiewicz into Ruthenian," including "To the Nemunas" and "Pani Twardowska" (versions in Polish and Ukrainian). T. Padura (1801-1871), a Polish-Ukrainian poet, popular and praised by many writers during the period of "Ukrainianomania" of the time, while criticized by more aloof ones such as Juliusz Słowacki and Józef I. Kraszewski. T. Padura, among his numerous Ukrainianophile activities, traveled across Ukraine disguised as a lyricist, extolling the past fame of the Cossacks and announcing an armed uprising. He evoked extreme feelings, from enthusiasm to indifference to irony and mockery. Rarity.
