"Boyfriend on the Loose" is an amusing book about the adventures of Jack Czarnecki. The boy, as he himself claims, is a born unlucky man, he believes that fate and destiny play an overriding role in his life, and he himself has no influence on the course of unfortunate events. However, isn't this just a convenient excuse for all failures? Temperamental and resourceful Jacek, after all, first acts and only then thinks....
"Once when I wanted to be noble" is a collection of amusing adventures of an elementary school student, Felek, who follows the same twisted logic as Jacek Czarnecki, that is, "the boy in the back." Felek states, for example, that if he does not go to school, he will not make the lady teacher uncomfortable, so he magnanimously truants. Generally innate, as it seems, bad luck does not allow him to boast of good grades. As he himself states, "If it goes on like this, I'll get a mustache in the third grade."
