Polskie Towarzystwo Księgarni Kolejowych "Ruch" S.A. was established in Warsaw in 1918. The company included bookstores and 518 outlets in railroad stations and cities. They carried out wholesale and retail distribution of domestic and foreign newspapers, magazines and books, as well as selling cigarettes and tobacco. "Ruch" published guidebooks, timetables, city plans and postcards; it had vending machines at railroad stations, and provided advertising services. Total employment was 365 clerks and 150 laborers.
