Official Gazette of the Ministry of the Former Prussian Quarter Year 1920 No. 1-77 (January 12, 1920 - December 4, 1920)
The Ministry of the Former Prussian Quarter was established by the law of August 1, 1919. Unlike the other ministries of the Second Republic, which were organized substantively, the scope of the Ministry of the Former Prussian Quarter was defined territorially. Its jurisdiction included the lands of the former Prussian partition - the Poznań Province and the Pomeranian Province. Steps were also taken to subordinate Silesia to the Ministry, but the Ministry was abolished before the nationality of this province was resolved. The seat of the Minister of the former Prussian Quarter was the Imperial Castle in Poznan.
The presented volume contains a number of decrees and proclamations ( in Polish with a German translation) issued by the Ministry of the former Prussian Quarter. Particularly noteworthy are, among others, the Decree on the Acquisition of Lands Granted to Poland by the Treaty of Versailles and decrees restoring former Polish place names. Among a number of documents we can also find those dealing with much "more trivial" issues, such as the Decree on the abolition of restrictions on free trade in pigeons and the Decree on processed potatoes
