Ludwik Grossmann [1835-1915] outstanding Polish composer, conductor, pianist, organizer of musical life
Filipina Brzezinska [1800-1886] Polish composer and pianist. Among her works are technically and musically advanced piano pieces and songs, among which the Marian song Nie opuszczaj nas enjoyed great popularity.
Maria Szymanowska [1789 - 1931] pianist and composer, the first woman in Europe to achieve the status of a professional musician.
Julia Justyna Rzewuska (Grocholska, coat of arms Syrokomla) [d. 1867], wife of Count Henryk Adam Rzewuski h. Krzywda
Joseph Achilles Bonoldi [1821-1871] Italian opera singer, singing teacher settled in Vilnius. He was heavily involved in the preparation of the January Uprising and after its outbreak was forced to go abroad. He settled in France and took an active part in the Paris Commune. He died in 1871 executed by government troops.
