A book written on death row. Considered by critics as the best compendium of knowledge about Polish painting at the turn of the century [Impressionism, Modernism, Young Poland].
On the title page and its reverse, an extensive dedication entry bearing the "Author's autograph". The book was published after his death, so one can presume that this entry was made by an enthusiast of Niewiadomski's case.
