Monograph of the work of a prominent 18th century French portraitist. Elisabeth Vigée-Lebrun. The work characterizes portraits of Poles and Polish women of the turn of the 18th-19th centuries mainly from aristocratic circles. Among the people portrayed are: H. Lubomirski as the "Genii of fame", Anna of Cetner Kajetanowa Potocka, Pelagja of Potocka Franciszkowa Sapieżyna, Marja of Lubomirskis Protowa Potocka, Szczęsny Potocki junior, Feliks Woyna. At the end of the work, a detailed catalog of the artist's Polish works, including many considered lost.
