PRZECHADZKI PO MIEŚCIE , vol. 1-2 - Marceli Motty, Państwowy Instytut Wydawniczy, Warsaw 1957r, first edition, f. 15 x 21cm, pp. 739, 649
Volume I with a portrait of the author and a map as an appendix
a collection of columns written by Marceli Motte, published in "Dziennik Poznański" from 1888 to 1891. It was written for the young generation of the city's inhabitants - it was supposed to make them aware of what 19th century Poznan looked like and the famous figures living there, working for the common good, e.g. Karol Marcinkowski, Karol Libelt, Edward Raczyński, Hipolit Cegielski, Tytus Działyński and others (most of them he knew personally). The convention of the work is that the 70-year-old Motte walks together with a young friend - the fictional Mr. Ludwik, to whom the author tells about the past of the city and its inhabitants.[source: https://pl.wikipedia.org/wiki/Przechadzki_po_mieście].
