MOGILNICKI Patryk - KSIĄŻKA BY COVERAGE ON CONTEMPORARY POLISH BOOK COVER DESIGN
(...)It is better not to judge the content of books by their covers - and yet they evoke vivid emotions in readers: from admiration to disgust, from curiosity to dislike. When almost a decade ago Patryk Mogilnicki, an illustrator, designer and lover of literature saw a particularly ugly edition of his favorite novel in a bookstore, he shared his frustration on Facebook and set up a page I would buy this book if it weren't for the cover. Within days, it had gained a large number of ardent fans: people for whom books are more than content: they are faithful companions in our lives.
For people like you, the present volume was created. In it, the author has gathered a select group of people who make books. He introduces the most important designers, talks about particularly well-known and successful realizations, and some are questioned in more detail: about their work in the industry, the greatest successes, the most painful failures and unrealized projects, quite a few of which, by the way, can be seen here.
A must-read for anyone who likes to delight in books!(...)
