The text of "On the 50th Anniversary of..." by W. Czajewski was published with a delay of several months, due to the political situation in the country. This is the first complete (without censorship interference) edition of the poem in the Kingdom of Poland. The editionis written in prose, without division into lines. The ornate initials strictly refer to the biography and works of Adam Mickiewicz, e.g. the initial of Book I depicts the Vilnius Cathedral, Book III - a portrait of Mary Wereszczakówna, the poet's beloved, while in Book VI - a house of the Mickiewicz family in Nowogródek.
