Abrasions and scratches to front cover, liners cracked at spine, minor staining to boards, folds to margins of two pages, some protective tissue guards missing at boards. Text in decorative frame. After the title page "Preface to the first edition" with the date II 1896. On the spine gilt name of the author, title and name of the publisher, on the front cover gilt decorative inscription "Dziady". Second, album edition of "Dziady" illustrated by Czeslaw Jankowski. Compared to the 1896 edition, 6 plates printed in cintype were added, the remaining plates were made with light printing technique.
