"Fatal Eggs" - a short story by Mikhail Bulgakov. The author finished it in October 1924, and four months later it was published in the almanac of the Niedra publishing house.

Soon after, it was published in Poland in a translation by Edmund Jezierski (...). Later there was also a translation by Irena Lewandowska[published the same year] and Witold Dabrowski.(...).

This is a science fiction work that is also a parody of a disaster novel. A scientist discovers rays that repeatedly increase the activity, aggressiveness and size of living organisms. As a result of the mistake, dangerous exotic reptiles proliferate. The work is also a satire on the situation in the Soviet Union after the revolution."
