Malwida von Meysenburg (born October 28, 1816, died April 23, 1903) - German writer.
Promoter of workers' and women's education. Befriended many prominent figures
(Liszt, Nietzsche, Garibaldi, Rollan, Richard Wagner).
She wrote a book, Memoirs of an Idealist Woman, which was published anonymously in 1869.
In 1901, von Meysenbug was the first woman nominated for the Nobel Prize for Literature.
