Henryk Merzbach (1836-1903) - Polish poet and journalist of Jewish origin, took part in the January Uprising. Włodzimierz Wolski (1824-1882) - Polish poet, novelist and translator, librettist, author of the libretto to S. Moniuszko's "Halka"; took part in the patriotic demonstration in Warsaw in 1861 and the January Uprising.
