Wraps slightly rubbed, good condition. On the preface page, handwritten dedication by the author dated December 6, 1989, on the title page, translator's signature. "The Night of the General" - the story begins on December 12 at 11:20 p.m. and ends on December 14 at 3:10 p.m. The story, which author Gabriel Mérétik ((1939-2000) - journalist for French radio and television ORTF, RFO, TF1 correspondent in Moscow for many years, writer, translator of Polish literature into French) began writing in the fall of 1987 reconstructs the circumstances of the introduction of martial law in Poland. On the cover is a photograph by Chris Niedenthal with a military SKOT armored car and soldiers around it, in front of the Moskwa cinema, which bears the inscription "Apocalypse Time" advertising the film - this is the most famous photo from the time of martial law in Poland.
