Publication issued on the occasion of an exhibition of old Polish engravings from the collection of Dominik Witke-Jeżewski, organized through the efforts of the Society for the Protection of Monuments of the Past in 1914. It presented copperplate engravings, steel engravings, woodcuts and lithographs, depicting, among others, portraits of important historical figures (e.g. Jan Śniadecki, Andrzej Zamoyski, Adam Czartoryski, Mikołaj Kopernik) and views of cities and monuments (e.g. Puławy, Wiślica, Warsaw). The foreword was written by Józef Weyssenhoff.
