Notes: Third and last volume of "Melitele", the famous Polish illustrated romantic poetic almanac, all edited by Antoni Odyniec. Volumes 1 (1829) and 2 (1830) published in Warsaw. This volume contains, among others: poems by Adam Mickiewicz (first printing! "To M. Ł. On the day of receiving Holy Communion" and another edition of the poem "Arcy Mistrz" (Arcy-Mistrz")) and poetry by, among others, Ignacy Chodźko, Julian Korsak, Julian Ursyn Niemcewicz ("Dziecię na ręku starca", "Dumanie w wieczór"), Antoni Odyńca, J. B. Zaleski and other various literary works by various authors. Piece with missing 5 engravings including: "Biruta", "Kiejstut", "Italian Harvesters" and "Sister of Mercy", it contains only an intaglio: "Roman Forum. Campo Vaccino" and 3 plates of sheet music with "Sonnet" by S. E. Bojanowski with music by Karol Lipinski (on both sides of the plates)
Condition of preservation:
Piece somewhat dislocated and significantly damaged, binding preserved only in fragments, binding and block heavily damaged and stained, 5 plates missing, repair and binding necessary. Item in less than good condition
Grading of state of preservation:
- perfect condition: (6) no defects, no signs of use, like new
- very nice: almost perfect condition (+5), very slight defects, almost like new (unused)
- nice: very good condition (5), very slight, basically insignificant defects
- quite nice: condition - very good (-5), insignificant, insignificant defects
- more than good: condition between very good and good (4/5), fairly insignificant, not very significant defects
- at least good: condition at least good (+4), not very significant defects
- good: condition of good (4), fairly significant defects
- less than good: condition -good (-4), significant defects
- more than sufficient: condition between good and sufficient (3/4), very significant defects
- at least sufficient: condition at least sufficient (+3), quite poor condition, extremely significant defects, almost destructive
- Sufficient: sufficient condition (3), poor condition, major defects in the card, basically destruct
